FORESTRY APPLICATION AND RESEARCH CENTER

Artvin Çoruh University's proposal for the establishment of the Forestry Application and Research Center was approved at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 16.02.2011. Artvin Çoruh University Forestry Application and Research Center Regulation came into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 01.04.2011.

Among the aims and activities of the center are;

• To conduct research needed for forestry in Turkey,
• To provide research opportunities for academic studies,
• To cooperate with public and private sector organizations working on forestry and to help solve the problems of this sector,
• Coordinating the development and implementation of interdisciplinary research projects,
• To cooperate with relevant public and private research institutions and centers at home and abroad,
• To work to remove obstacles to researchers doing research and to conduct research quickly,
• To direct students to research, to provide training on research understanding and methods, and to help students implement research projects and provide opportunities,
• Organizing training programs, conferences, courses, seminars, national and international congresses for the development of researchers at all levels on the subjects within the scope of the center's work, issuing certificates regarding these studies when necessary and making publications about the activities.
